𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓: When David Griswold invented the first balance valve for hydronic HVAC systems in October1960, he didn't know the innovation that would follow! From the parabolic shaped port in the cartridge, to the parabolic port in the optimizer insert used in actuated ball valves and Pressure Independent valves, the innovation has continued for 𝟔𝟓 years making Griswold Controls the manufacturer with the broadest product line in the industry. No matter the application or industry, we have the right valve solution.

𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆: This week we celebrate David Griswold starting Griswold Controls in his home in Costa Mesa, California 𝟔𝟓 years ago. Every room of his house served as a different functional area with the garage serving as R&D as he developed the stainless steel automatic flow limiting cartridge, the heart of Griswold Controls automatic valves. Since the water pressure in his home wasn’t high enough to fully test his design he “borrowed” water from the nearby fire hydrant and the cartridge designs were perfected to maintain constant flowrate even as the pressure changed!

Liquid-to-chip and hydronic loop systems are driving a quiet revolution in data center cooling. We are excited to be a part of this revolution. Innovation is flowing. Literally.
