  • 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐘 -𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔, 𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟎 From humble beginnings in Costa Mesa with just 3½ employees, our founder David Griswold built this company on three core values: Innovation, Quality, and Reliability. 𝟔𝟓 years later, although our team has grown and our location has changed, those same principles continue to guide everything we do. They’ve shaped our culture, our products, and our commitment to the hydronic industry. Thank you to our employees, partners, and customers who’ve helped shape Griswold Controls over the past 𝟔𝟓 years. Your support and collaboration have been key to our continued growth and success.

  • 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄: Griswold Controls and FlowCon International boast 𝟔𝟓 years of HVAC market experience with the largest installation base of balancing valves and pressure independent control valves, significantly more than 10 million valves installed in the market!   Like our founder David Griswold, Griswold Controls and FlowCon International are 100% devoted to flow control, balancing, and pressure independent temperature control. We think “balancing” 24 hours a day and love seeing hydronic HVAC balancing principles expand into new industries like domestic system balancing and liquid cooling in data centers. From any industry to any application, our valve solutions are the perfect fit.

  • 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓: When David Griswold invented the first balance valve for hydronic HVAC systems in October1960, he didn't know the innovation that would follow! From the parabolic shaped port in the cartridge, to the parabolic port in the optimizer insert used in actuated ball valves and Pressure Independent valves, the innovation has continued for 𝟔𝟓 years making Griswold Controls the manufacturer with the broadest product line in the industry. No matter the application or industry, we have the right valve solution.

  • 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆: This week we celebrate David Griswold starting Griswold Controls in his home in Costa Mesa, California 𝟔𝟓 years ago. Every room of his house served as a different functional area with the garage serving as R&D as he developed the stainless steel automatic flow limiting cartridge, the heart of Griswold Controls automatic valves. Since the water pressure in his home wasn’t high enough to fully test his design he “borrowed” water from the nearby fire hydrant and the cartridge designs were perfected to maintain constant flowrate even as the pressure changed!
