Law enforcement agencies continue to struggle with youth crime. Nearly 3/4 of youth connected with Gulf Coast JFCS's Forward Together initiative have not been re-arrested. A collaboration with Gulf Coast JFCS and St. Petersburg Police Department through CALL, the Forward Together initiative offers a range of support services for justice-involved youth who may no longer qualify for diversion programs, as well as for their families. This summer, Police Executive Research Forum (PERF), in collaboration with the Maryland Governor’s Office, hosted a meeting to highlight programs from seven different law enforcement agencies across the country that are engaging innovatively with youth. We were honored to be included alongside Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, City of Manassas Police Department, Cedar Hill Police Department, Lincoln Police Department, Longmont Public Safety, and Phoenix Police Department in being recognized for behavioral health interventions and crime prevention.

Leaders give and gather others to join them when it matters most. Providing for dignity year round, our Holocaust Survivor Urgent Care Fund ensures we are able to support our elders as needs increase and cost of care rises. This year’s $150k match, when completed, ensures $300k will mobilize additional care to bridge the current gap of unmet homecare and other urgent care needs. Since its launch, this partnership consisting of local partners, the Jewish Federation of Florida's Gulf Coast and Tampa Jewish Community Centers & Federation, and national partners KAVOD-SHEF (Survivors of the Holocaust Emergency Fund) and the Seed the Dream Foundation, has raised more than $1M to meet essential needs for Holocaust survivors in our community.

Strengthening communities and enhancing safety, Law Enforcement Trust Funds reinvest into our community. With gratitude to Broward Sheriff Gregory Tony and the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO), our Adult Residential Treatment & Stabilization (ARTS) program is now better able to provide a healing home away from home!

Belonging begins with us - and it continues with support from partners who make resources more accessible. With community support, the Mo-Bull Medical Bus stopped by to help some of Gulf Coast JFCS clients receive the care they need. Thank you USF College of Nursing for your ongoing support.
