🧋Founders. Boba. Big ideas. Earlier this week, we welcomed the latest Y Combinator batch to Gusto HQ for a casual meetup in our SF atrium. From mango sago to fresh startup energy, the mix was just right. 🤝 Proud to support early-stage founders and build real connections that go beyond the pitch deck. Swipe through for highlights from the spring boba social. 📸 Photo cred: Jonathan Hsu of Focus Media TV

Last week, Josh Reeves and Edward Kim took the stage at SaaStr to share how we’re thinking about AI at Gusto: 💡 Start with the problem, not the tech 🛠️ Business owners just want things done ⚡ Ease and accessibility matter more than buzzwords From insights to actions, AI is helping our team solve real customer problems faster *and* also giving small businesses tools they can actually use. Catch the highlights from their fireside chat and some behind-the-scenes moments ⬇️

Building the Community You want to be a part of. No matter where you work from.

I often say I’m the leader of the circus 🎪 in my current role… think 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘮𝘢𝘯 (coming to Broadway soon!). Why? Because I get to lead an incredible team that touches every aspect of the employee lifecycle—from attracting amazing people to ensuring they thrive and stay with us. One of the latest highlights? Our updated New Hire Gift, designed to not only welcome our new Gusties but also connect them to our mission and the community we’re building here at Gusto Check out the video and see the magic behind what we're doing to ensure every new team member feels part of our community from day one. This box is more than just a welcome—it’s a small, meaningful reminder that we’re all part of something bigger: a team of Gusties who work together to build a better future for Small Businesses. 🚀 Key Highlights: ☑️ Mission-Driven | Every new hire receives a gift that connects them to Gusto’s mission of helping small businesses thrive. ☑️ Community-Focussed | The gift serves as a reminder that we’re building a strong, inclusive team of Gusties. ☑️ Full-Circle Moment | New Gusties are welcomed into a culture that celebrates their journey and the meaningful impact we create together for the Gustomers we serve. (Shoutout to Unreal Snacks and BOXFOX, Inc.) ☑️ Unboxing Magic | Big thanks to Ivanlandle Vicente for designing the box AND creating this amazing unboxing video that brings it all to life! ✨ Big thanks to my entire team for continually pushing boundaries and bringing these innovative ideas to life. 👏 We’re building something great, and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of it. To others in the space—how do you welcome your new employees? Drop your best practices or favorite first-day traditions in the comments! Let’s keep the conversation going. #Teamwork #Culture #NewHireExperience #Onboarding #EmployeeExperience #Gustomers #ShareyourGusto

We don’t build for awards. We build for the small business owner doing payroll at midnight or by hand. The ones who deserves tools that work and a platform that gets out of the way and saves them time and energy. That said… when PCMag names you Editors’ Choice for doing just that? It feels pretty good. Huge thanks to our team for making payroll smarter, cleaner, and actually enjoyable, from custom run views to built-in compliance: https://lnkd.in/ePTZ57n

Knowing WHO you build for is what makes all the difference! It was amazing to have our Gustomer Maria Jose Palacio, Co-Founder and CEO of Progeny Coffee right here in San Francisco join us during our Company All-Hands today. For the very uniquely coined by Lawrenthia Usher “Confessions of Gustomer” segment, Maria shared the rollercoaster of being a small business owner, how Gusto is helping her now, but more importantly how we can keep building for Progeny and other small businesses. Thank you to Maria and all small businesses out there, you are the backbones of your communities, cities and our economy. #smallbusinesses #community #confessions

Joan Marie Godoy gets it done. 👏 As CEO of Radical Partners, she’s helping build a more connected, powerful Miami by investing in local leaders, co-creating solutions, and strengthening communities from the ground up. When we surprised her with a Gusto Impact Award, she said it felt “delicious… like finally someone gets it.” Well, Joan, we definitely get it. And we’re so glad to celebrate the impact you and your team are making.
