Today, we celebrate the 1 year anniversary for the EU Nature Restoration Law, which entered into force on 18 August 2024. 🎉💚 Now, EU countries are preparing national plans to #RestoreNature so we can have many more incredible restoration projects in every corner of Europe! In recent years, the #RestoreNature movement and young people across the EU worked tirelessly to secure the Nature Restoration Law, the first-ever EU legislation to bring nature back to our continent. The law holds huge potential, but it all depends on its implementation. 🔑 And what's the key to successful implementation? Ambitious and sound National Restoration Plans drafted by EU countries by 1 September 2026. As young people, we continue to advocate for EU countries to include youth as key stakeholders as member countries begin the process of drafting their National Restoration Plans. We continue to provide crucial guidance and resources to make it happen and ensure nature comes back to Europe, to the benefit of everyone.
