isima launched as a brand last month and officially hit Ulta shelves yesterday! ❤️🔥 Huge thank you to Sid Katari and Ashley Williams for trusting Hae CPG with isima's Operations. We all made quite the team during this past year! Nothing beats seeing all that hard work finally come to life. (Also, big shoutout to Ana Laura Terrazas for fearlessly leading the charge with the Ulta rollout!) I'll always be lurkin' in the background for you all 😂 I have to give a big props to Tiffany Oei for getting 200+ pallets out the door for Ulta launch and Harper Morphy for leading the charge with DTC and CX Ops. Both Tiffany and Harper had zero operations experience when they first started with me 2 years ago and I'm truly in awe of how they've grown as operations experts. Seeing this kind of teamwork is 100% one of the best parts of the job. Dream team 💖💖💖
Most people that know me know that I am unhinged 😂 I am a perfectionist and my wheels are constantly spinning on what else can be done to make things even better than they already are. And the launch of isima took this to the next level. However, myself and the team could have NEVER accomplished what we did over the last 3 weeks without our incredible partnership with Hae CPG and Jiyuh Kim. Operational excellence is their speciality and our DTC and Ulta launch went off without a hitch because of them. All orders shipped within their SLA, every single Ulta order was received on time and without issue, our CX team was armed and ready from day 1, the list goes on. Jiyuh has put together the most incredible team and we're so lucky to have Tiffany Oei + Harper Morphy as our brand leaders. Thank you Jiyuh for being such a great partner. Hae CPG founder and CEO Jiyuh Kim, whose introduction to the beauty industry was in operations at the deodorant brand PiperWai when its appearance on “Shark Tank” sent sales skyrocketing 5,000%, steers brands away from supply chain hiccups—and often can detect them before they occur because she’s had so much experience with them. “Everything can go wrong in the space that we're in,” she says. “We've had trucks disappear with inventory; we’ve had 3PLs lose inventory; we've had thousands and thousands and thousands of products get mislabeled; we've had product QC issues, all of the above.” We spoke to Kim about the approach she believes emerging beauty brands should take toward President-elect Donald Trump’s proposed tariff hikes, their choices of 3PLs, chargeback management and Amazon.
