Congratulations Sheila Stalberger! Welcome to the Prize Teacher network! Eden Prairie Schools Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce
Exciting news: Sheila Stalberger, an industrial technology teacher at EPHS, was surprised this morning as a winner of the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence! Ms. Stalberger is one of just 25 national winners of the prize this year and the only winner in Minnesota. Ms. Stalberger won $35,000 for the school’s program and $15,000 for herself. “I tell my students about the things I design, build, and use in real life, and they see what’s possible for themselves,” she said in her award application materials. Since she began teaching, the number of female students in her courses has increased by a third. At a surprise celebration, Superintendent Dr. Josh Swanson and Principal Dr. Jaysen Anderson were joined by representatives from Harbor Freight Tools for Schools and @explorethetrades to congratulate Ms. Stalberger. Senator Amy Klobuchar also sent a congratulatory video! Congratulations, Ms. Stalberger — thank you for everything you do to encourage our students!
