Keep your eyes on the night sky this month! Venus, Mars, and Jupiter will all be visible this month! Venus will be over the horizon to the southwest, appearing as a very bright star. Mars will be just over the horizon over to the east. It will reach opposition around the new year! Jupiter will be east-northeast. It will reach opposition early in the month! Saturn will be in the south and traveling westward. The planets aren't the only ones making an appearance in the night sky either. We have a few constellations showing themselves. As well as the Geminid meteor shower!

Make sure to keep your eyes to the sky 👀
Hello, December skies! ✨ This month, enjoy dazzling views of Venus, see Jupiter at its brightest, and look for the Winter Triangle. Early morning skywatchers might spot some of the brighter Geminids through moonlight when the meteor shower peaks after midnight on Dec. 14. More skywatching tips: go.nasa.gov/37ePy0B
