  • Last year, Health Net proudly contributed $1.3 million to the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles to support its We Are LA eviction-prevention program. This initiative continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Angelenos facing housing insecurity. At Health Net, we know that housing is a key driver of health. Stable, safe, and affordable housing is essential to physical and mental well-being. We’re proud to stand with the Mayor’s Fund in helping prevent homelessness before it begins. • Last July, Health Net announced a $1.3 million grant to the City of Redondo Beach to expand its Pallet Shelter program and launch the Alternative Crisis Response pilot. This initiative brought temporary housing and trauma-informed behavioral health services to unhoused residents. Redondo Beach has been recognized as the first city in the South Bay to reach Functional Zero Street Homelessness—a major milestone made possible through strong collaboration and data-driven solutions that ensure homelessness, when it occurs, is brief and addressed quickly. The ARC program and the 25 new tiny homes have provided shelter, safety, and access to care for those who need it most. This effort was part of a broader commitment by Health Net and Centene to address the drivers of health like housing stability and mental health access through strategic partnerships and targeted funding. Since 2023, more than $64 million has been invested in Los Angeles County to support these efforts. We’re sharing this again to celebrate the progress and reaffirm our commitment to sustainable, local change. The work continues, and so does our dedication to building healthier, more resilient communities! #HealthEquity #HomelessnessSolutions #RedondoBeach #FunctionalZero #PalletShelters #MentalHealthCare #CommunityImpact

  • 💙 Just a few days ago, we shared the story of the newly opened Skid Row Care Campus, a facility built with empathy, dignity, and community at its core. Opened this year, this campus is already serving thousands daily and stands as a powerful example of what’s possible when we invest in people and listen to community voices. But this is just one part of a larger commitment. Last year, Health Net, in partnership with L.A. Care Health Plan, pledged $90 million to launch two innovative programs: 🔹 The Skid Row Care Collaborative 🔹 The L.A. County Field Medicine Program Together, these initiatives are designed to reach 85,000+ Angelenos experiencing homelessness with whole-person care. That includes urgent and preventive medical services to social support and harm reduction. These programs meet people where they are, whether on the streets, in shelters, or in interim housing, and ensure access to a true medical home. At Health Net, we believe that health equity means ensuring every person has access to care, regardless of housing status. This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to building a safety net for health — one rooted in compassion, collaboration, and community. We’re proud to be part of a movement that’s changing lives across L.A. County. 🙌 #HealthNetCares #HealthEquity #WholePersonCare #SkidRowCareCampus #FieldMedicine #PublicHealth #HomelessnessSolutions #CompassionInAction

  • 💙It’s not often that we see infrastructure designed with empathy, dignity, and community at its core. The new Skid Row Care Campus is exactly that. As highlighted in a powerful piece by CALÓ News, this first-of-its-kind campus is more than a facility, it’s a refuge. Built from years of community input and collaboration between public, private, and nonprofit sectors, the campus offers essential services like showers, laundry, medical care, and safe spaces to rest. It is staffed by people from the neighborhood and shaped by the voices of those who live there. Serving over 3,000 people daily, the Care Campus is a testament to what’s possible when we listen, invest, and act with compassion. 🙌 📖 Read the full article by Michelle Z. via CALÓ News: https://lnkd.in/eQkzJEUE #PublicRelations #SocialImpact #SkidRow #CommunityCare #CaloNews #LosAngeles #HopeInAction

At Health Net, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life. That belief led to a $2.6 million grant to Hope Cooperative, supporting justice-involved individuals as they reenter society in Sacramento County. This initiative is about more than housing. It’s about healing, dignity, and hope. Through a newly acquired 57-room interim shelter, individuals receive: 🏠 A safe place to stay 🧠 Mental health and substance use support 💼 Employment guidance 🩺 Primary care and Enhanced Care Management services These wraparound services are helping people stabilize, reconnect with their communities, and move forward with confidence. We are grateful to Hope Cooperative, Sacramento County Behavioral Health Services, and our fellow health plan partners for coming together with compassion and purpose.
