Sending our Associates to the IAA Midwest Multifamily Conference each year is one of the ways we support learning, and professional development. This experience helps our teams bring back new ideas, build relationships, and stay ahead in our industry.   Here’s how one of our Associates, Anna, described the experience in her own words: “J.C. Hart offers the opportunity to attend the Midwest Multifamily Conference each year, and it was such a refreshing experience! The theme really hit home for me - ‘When you put your mind to something, you have the ability to make it happen.’   The breakout sessions were awesome as there was truly something for everyone - from sales and finance to compliance, marketing, and even hands-on maintenance training. Each session I attended offered something valuable, whether it was a reminder of best practices or a new way to approach familiar challenges.   There is also a vendor showcase, which was a great chance to network and see what’s new in the industry. I walked through with a few colleagues, and it was nice to connect with vendors face-to-face. I also found out there was a maintenance-only mingle. As someone who is not in maintenance I’ll admit, I was a little jealous of that one!   Overall, I left feeling inspired, reenergized, and excited to bring fresh ideas back to my community. It was a great reminder that no matter how long you’ve been in this industry, there’s always something new to learn.”   That spirit of learning, innovation, and pride in our work is exactly why we’re thrilled to celebrate this year’s Indiana Apartment Association Prodigy Award winners from the J.C. Our recent Barktober event was a huge success! Residents and their furry friends came together for a day filled with pet-friendly vendors, costume contests, music, food trucks, and support for the Humane Society for Hamilton County. The best part? What a fun day we had last week at Downtown District Community Day on Monument Circle! It was great meeting so many of our Residents, connecting with people who might call a J.C. Hart community home one day, and just enjoying the energy downtown. Our donut toss game ended up being a crowd favorite — and yes, we couldn’t resist the donut… IMPD joke 🍩😂. Between the live music, amazing food from some of Indy’s best spots, and all the community partners coming together, the day really reminded us how special it is to be part of this city. Last week, our Resident Experience Specialists (RES) came together for an Associate-led training session. As the backbone of our communities, RES support leasing, assist maintenance with work orders, and are often the first point of connection for Residents. The session focused on practical approaches to working with Prospects and Residents, role-playing real situations, and sharing encouragement with one another. Associates walked away with new tools for their roles and a stronger sense of connection as a team. #TeamJCHart #Makingadifference
