On Monday, our interns had the chance to present everything they’ve learned and accomplished during their time here - and it was all smiles. 😄 To celebrate their hard work, they finished the day with some well-deserved fun at TopGolf. As their time at Horton comes to a close, here’s what they had to share about their experience, growth, and impact this summer: 🌎 Sydney (Supply Chain): "I had the opportunity to work with Horton's Purchasing Team this summer! It was an incredible experience that allowed me to take what I’ve learned in the classroom and apply it in a real-world setting. During my time at Horton, I coordinated domestic and international shipments with freight forwarders, processed company orders, generated Free Trade Agreement (FTA) documents, and traveled to our nationwide warehouses and manufacturing plants. I truly enjoyed collaborating with different areas and departments across the company, and I’m grateful for the skills, experiences, and connections I’ve gained throughout the summer." 👫 Ally (HR): "This summer, I gained hands-on experience across the employee lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding to development and retention. I led our intern program, supported hiring efforts, and created tools to improve interview practices and manager training. I also worked in ICIMS and UKG, customizing the UKG homepage for better accessibility. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow alongside Horton’s incredible HR team!" 📝 Kendra (Marketing): "This summer, I had the opportunity to strengthen my skills in social media strategy, content creation, SEO, and data analytics. From managing social media campaigns to publishing web content and building dashboards on Power BI, it was a rewarding experience that helped me grow both professionally and personally. I'm extremely grateful for the support and mentorship from the Marketing team along the way!" 🛠️ Drew (Quality): "During this internship I have been working as a part of the Quality team at the Britton, South Dakota facility. I have been focused on improving the packing situation for the assemblers. Horton packs a couple hundred thousand clutches a year, so a small improvement makes a huge difference. Along with packing I have worked on corrective actions for both customers and suppliers which has mainly been in the form of testing and validation." We’re proud of all they’ve achieved and are excited to see where their talents will take them next.
