We’re celebrating a huge milestone this month – the 30th anniversary of our Trauma Program! 🎆 🎂 🎊 Way back in 1995, trauma surgeon Dr. Rony Najjar moved to Huntsville from Miami to start our program from scratch. Today, we are proud to serve North Alabama as the region's only Level 1 Trauma Center with the expertise, equipment and 24/7 availability to treat the most severe, life-threatening injuries. 🚑 We sat down with Dr. Najjar and his wife Marti to reflect on the early days of the Trauma Program, and what trauma care in the Rocket City might look like 30 years from now. 🚀 Watch our video ▶️

Q: How can you tell if you’re really good at your job? A: When the boss trusts you to help train new employees. In addition to caring for patients with remarkable skill and compassion, Respiratory Therapist/Specialist Lanetta Brown serves as a mentor to newly-hired staff members as well as respiratory therapy students. For helping patients and colleagues alike breathe easier, we surprised Lanetta with our October Employee of the Month Award. Congrats! 👏💚🏆

🍂 The weather is getting cooler, but BEEs are still swarming on our campus.🐝 Noah Frasier just won a BEE Award for "Being Extraordinary Everyday" in his job as a patient care aide.
