University Lab Partners | BARDA Ready Detect: The $10M Next-Gen Diagnostics Competition It was humbling to be invited to represent Biomerica, Inc. as a panelist at the Ready Detect event as part of the $10M Next-Generation Diagnostics Competition hosted by University Lab Partners. As the non-scientist on the speaking panel alongside Christopher Strohsahl and Tej Patel, I had the chance to share the CFO perspective where financial strategy and innovation intersect in diagnostics. We explored how lateral flow assays (LFAs) are evolving, what it takes to bring ideas from lab to market, and why affordability is profitability when it comes to making healthcare more accessible globally. At Biomerica, we’re proud to serve as a CDMO partner helping emerging companies and founders turn their diagnostic innovations into reality. Events like this remind me how collaboration between science, strategy, and sustainability can redefine what’s possible. A huge thank you to Stephanie Chan, PhD, Charla Triplett and Harry Penn, MBA from the ULP team for organizing such a visionary competition and bringing together leaders who care deeply about the future of diagnostics. #Biomerica #MedTech #Diagnostics #Innovation #LFA #HealthcareAccessibility #UniversityLabPartners #ReadyDetect #CFOlife
