We are entering an infrastructure super-cycle, where industrialization, digitalization, and urbanization are converging to reshape economies and investment priorities, according to I Squared Co-Founder, Global CIO and Managing Partner Gautam Bhandari. In a recent Q&A with Pensions & Investments, Gautam discussed how the drive to reindustrialize, build sustainable energy and expand digital networks is creating an era of unprecedented infrastructure demand and why private capital plays a vital role in enabling this transformation. “Societal drivers, such as digitalization, industrialization and urbanization, are all megatrends that are happening all at once,” Gautam said in the interview. “The drive to reindustrialize coupled with digitalization leads to huge expenditures and a push to build new power plants and other sources of energy, as well as roads and transportation networks.
