📈 September Leads the Way for Association Meetings September continues to dominate as the peak month for association meetings globally overall.According to the ICCA Business Analytics Tool, out of the 280,000 association meetings recorded in the last 50 years, 16.7% took place in September — that’s about 44, 800+ events! Meanwhile, June (14.1%) and October (13.4%) follow closely behind. What makes these three months so popular? ✔️ It aligns with the academic calendar as this schedule maximizes researcher availability by falling after the summer break and before the year-end rush. ✔️ It fits well within fiscal planning cycles allowing associations to either launch new initiatives early in the fiscal year (e.g., September or October) or use remaining budgets later in the year (e.g., May or June) ✔️ The favorable weather in some regions areas make travel and international event hosting easier during this period. As an industry player, understanding when and where associations meet gives you a strategic edge.
