I'm still processing just how incredible ICSC Las Vegas 2025 really was. We kicked things off Sunday with a standing-room-only panel on the impact of AI on search and what that means for shopping center marketers. The conversation was smart, strategic, and actionable, thanks to our brilliant panelists: Robyn Marano, Jameson Valone, MBA, Tina McCuddin and Rob Frost-Dean. Then came the 2025 MAXI Awards. It was a true honor to co-chair this year alongside my partner in work and crime 😉 Jen Cunningham Augustyn. The caliber of marketing work showcased was next-level. A special shout-out to JLL Retail on their big wins—we love collaborating with them and couldn’t be more thrilled to see their creativity and results recognized. And when Tanger Outlets Asheville took home “Best of the Best” for their incredible community impact? Goosebumps. The entire room was on its feet. The rest of the week was a whirlwind of meetings, connections, receptions (aka parties 😉) and big conversations—catching up with clients, connecting with new prospects, and talking with long-time industry peers and friends about where retail is headed and how we can grow together. One of the biggest highlights: announcing our new partnership with TouchSource to bring interactive digital mapping to life on our websites and beyond. This collaboration with Ajay Kapoor, Nihad Katbeh and the entire TouchSource team is full of potential—and we’re just getting started. And of course, I was proud to represent Imaginuity for the 4th year alongside Corbett Guest, our President and an excellent convention floor walking partner. (More than 50,000 steps in three days!) It was such a great experience at ICSC Las Vegas this year. It was my second time participating in the case competition, and I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with: Jacob Schurman, Carri Roper, and Andrew Mannion. Thank you to Grayson Glaze, CRE, CCIM, CPM, JD, and Wes Herring for helping put together this spectacular opportunity to not only come and compete in the competition, but also supported all nine students (Faith Turner, Asa Moran, Zaraph Greene, Lauren Rose Thomas, and Lily Vierkandt) who were able to attend this trip. I want to give a Special thanks to Giavarna Faison, James Dulin, and Katie Spell Hambrick for hosting this competition and for organizing all 16 schools that competed this year. Attending ICSC Las Vegas was the perfect way to conclude my college experience at the University of Alabama. It has been one of the most beneficial experiences for networking and connecting with future peers from other schools who also competed. I'm already looking forward to coming back next year! I had the privilege of serving as a judge at this year’s 2025 ICSC & UNC Retail Real Estate Case Competition, and was truly inspired by the talent, creativity, and professionalism displayed by all the teams. Congratulations to the students from Penn State for taking home first place! Thank you to all the participants, organizers, and fellow judges Rod Castan, CRRP and Michael Carroll for making this event such a rewarding experience. Another amazing ICSC Las Vegas is in the books. Hard to believe my first show was back in 2015 and the energy, connections, and deal making are still just as strong. From impromptu meetings in shuttle lines to catching up with old friends at the airport, it’s always a whirlwind. One of the true highlights this year was attending the ICSC Foundation events and connecting with students. Hearing their stories and seeing their excitement at their first ICSC was a great reminder of why this industry is so special. It was also great to attend the ICSC Next Generation reception and catch up with my fellow NGLN cohort members. Always energizing to be around such driven and forward thinking peers.

Another incredible ICSC Las Vegas is in the books! It’s always energizing to be part of an event that brings together so many passionate and forward-thinking professionals shaping the future of retail real estate. A standout moment this year was attending the opening keynote with Kendra Scott—a true trailblazer in affordable luxury accessories. Her story of entrepreneurial grit and purpose-driven growth was both inspiring and a powerful reminder of how innovation and impact go hand in hand. From reconnecting with familiar faces to meeting new collaborators, the week was packed with meaningful conversations. I especially enjoyed connecting with individuals at events hosted by Crum-Halsted Insurance & Risk Management, Ginsberg Jacobs LLC, Thompson Coburn LLP, Old National Bank, and Wintrust Financial Corporation—thank you all for the warm hospitality and engaging discussions. Another highlight was participating in ICSC Foundation events and meeting students just beginning their journey in the industry. Their energy and optimism are exactly what makes this community so special. That’s a Wrap on ICSC LAS VEGAS! For me, this conference was all about connections - from strategic meetings with potential clients to getting face time with industry leaders, meeting people in person I’ve only talked to online, and my favorite - catching up with industry friends and fellow marketers. I continued to find value in meeting strangers - those I shared rides with in the Vegas Loop Tunnel, networking at cocktail parties, and sitting beside other amazing women at the Women’s Breakfast. Mix in some amazing meals, a show, and some spa/pool time where the networking continued, it was the perfect mix of everything! I so enjoyed meeting my fellow ICSC Creators as well! Hue Chen (Retail CRE) , Smita Singh , Harley Centner , Dave Lewand , Tooba Patoli , - Brian Sheehan we missed you And keynote Kendra Scott was so inspiring! With 152 retail stores, store-in-store in 200 Targets, opening 25 new stores, a new Western concept, $70 million in donations to nonprofits and a life mission for her legacy to be a great mom - wow.
