Last Saturday, #TeamIEHP walked for hope and healing. 🚶♂️💖🚶♀️ Team members walked alongside our community at the Out of the Darkness Walk at IEHP headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, joining in solidarity with those impacted by suicide and shining a light on mental health. This marked IEHP's fifth year as a host site for Out of the Darkness. Ahead of the walk, we hosted a suicide prevention panel on campus, bringing together suicide loss survivors and mental health experts to share their stories and encourage those who may be struggling to reach out for help. The event ended with attendees forming a circle and pledging together to support those in need. Events like this build community, reduce stigma and remind us that it's okay to not be okay and that help is always available. We believe in a future where no one suffers in silence, where conversations about mental health happen openly and where everyone knows they matter. IEHP Members can call 1-800-440-4347 or visit IEHP.org/youmatter to see the mental health services available to them. If you or someone you know is in crisis, free and confidential help is available 24/7. Call or text 988 for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Together, we'll continue showing up for our community because every life matters, and no one should walk alone. 💙💜

🏮 Honoring tradition, celebrating community. #TeamIEHP came together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, honoring the rich traditions and cultural heritage of our Asian American and Pacific Islander community members. Our team gathered to enjoy mooncakes, dumplings, boba tea and traditional pastries while being captivated by a beautiful performance from the University of California, Riverside Katipunan Dance Group. It was a meaningful day of connection, learning and celebration. Celebrating our diversity strengthens our ability to serve our 1.5 million members with the cultural awareness and compassion they deserve. 💙

#TeamIEHP Walks for the Ones We Love 🌸 This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, nearly 200 team members wore pink last Sunday in Murrieta for Susan G. Komen's MORE THAN PINK Walk—honoring the mothers, daughters, sisters and friends we've loved and lost to breast cancer. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1,000 men in their lifetime. Events like this raise funds for research, education and community support that saves lives. "Everyone we know has been touched by cancer in one way or another," said our Chief Operating Officer Susie White. "We are driven to make good on our promise of not resting until our communities experience optimal care, and that starts by being out here in the community." Since 2019, IEHP has raised over $100,000 for this mission—a reflection of our commitment to the health and wellness of the communities we serve. We walk because we believe in a future where no one has to hear the words "you have cancer." Until then, we'll keep showing up, keep fighting, and continue healing and inspiring the human spirit. 💗🎗️ Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/gb8sshXh Learn about breast cancer and other health screenings: https://lnkd.in/ghvXEVh8

Last night at the PRSA Los Angeles PRism Awards, one of Southern California's most prestigious public relations honors, IEHP's marketing team received the ceremony's biggest recognition—Best in Show—for our "Start the Conversation on Mental Health" campaign with 2024 American Idol winner Abi Carter, in partnership with Meehan Business Advisers! 🥇✨ The campaign aimed to spread awareness and encourage young people in the Inland Empire to start the conversation around mental health. #TeamIEHP also won in the following categories: 🏆 Media Relations, Healthcare (Earned) 🏆 Branded Content (Paid) 🏆 Influencer Marketing (Paid) As a result of this distinction, IEHP will now be entered into PRSA Western District's Best of the West Awards—a regional competition that recognizes the top campaigns from across the Western United States. We never imagined how far our "Start the Conversation" message would go. What began as a way to remind our members and community that it's okay to not be okay has become a dialogue around mental health that we will continue beyond one campaign. Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission of healing and inspiring the human spirit. ❤️🥹🫶

Recovery isn't just possible. It's happening right here in the Inland Empire. 💙 IEHP and Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health teamed up for Recovery Happens 2025 at Fairmount Park in Riverside last week. This free, family-friendly event celebrated National Recovery Month, honoring community members in recovery while providing mental health support and connecting residents with vital resources. "People can recover from substance use, mental health challenges, families reunited and you can have fun in recovery," shared Rhyan Miller, Deputy Director of Behavioral Health at RUHS. IEHP's Community Engagement Ambassador Gaby Ayala-Reyes added, "It's very important for IEHP to be at these events because we want to be able to show our community support, but also break the stigma of behavioral health and mental health." Through this partnership, #TeamIEHP and #TeamRUHS are delivering whole-person care to IE residents, ensuring members have access to mental health treatment, housing support and the wraparound services they need to thrive. Here's to breaking stigmas and showing up for our community. Recovery happens when we come together. 🌟🫶

This week, Congress and the White House failed to reach a funding deal, triggering a federal government partial shutdown. Critical services, such as Medicare and Medicaid payments, NIH clinical care, FDA emergency functions, and CDC outbreak monitoring, will continue. IEHP wants to assure members and our community that we do not expect the shutdown to affect the health plan’s funding in any way. We will continue with business as usual when it comes to services, programs and provider payments. We will post updates if we hear of any changes. Thank you, Team IEHP

✨ A brighter future starts with a healthy beginning! Thanks to our partnership with ULS Allcare Services, IEHP is expanding access to care through our Community Wellness Centers. Annual well-child and young adult physicals are now easier than ever for IEHP members aged 3–21. These visits focus solely on physical exams and help bridge care gaps. While regular checkups with your child’s PCP remain essential, our CWCs provide added support to help families stay on track with their health goals. “When IEHP called to schedule a wellness check, I didn’t realize it was something we needed,” says member Karina S. “But once they explained it was to make sure my child is growing well, I came in.” 💬 📖 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gFqhjXwG

Representing Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), legal counsel Winston Y. Chan of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, has issued the following statement regarding yesterday’s lawsuit filed by the United States Department of Justice: “Through this misguided civil legal dispute, the federal government is trying to contest Medi-Cal health benefits paid out a decade ago and that were previously disclosed to and approved by regulators, with full transparency. The allegations are a brazen attempt at revisionist history that is not only wrong as to the facts and law, but also particularly galling in light of the federal government’s wider attacks on state Medicaid funding. Conspicuously absent from the lawsuit—which the state of California did not join as a co-plaintiff—is any allegation whatsoever that Inland Empire Health Plan or any of its personnel retained any of the funds in question or that providers serving the neediest Californians did not actually receive every dollar awarded to them. We look forward to taking this case to court and exposing the mistaken assumptions, flawed reasoning, and false conjecture that is rife throughout the allegations, and ensuring that our client is not distracted from its not-for-profit mission to heal and inspire its 1.5 million underserved members in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.”
