Last week, we put the social in social studies with a fantastic visit to MUSCATINE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, where educators and students shared their experiences using our new 6–12 social studies program, #Traverse. We were in awe of how educators brought social studies to life through curiosity, collaboration, and questioning and the powerful shift in how tomorrow’s citizens are prepared for the world. 💙 Keep your eyes peeled—we have lots more to come from this trip. 🎥👀

If we want to solve the math proficiency crisis, we need to rethink how we teach — not just what we teach. I began my career as a math teacher, so this hit home for me. Lance Barasch's commentary in The 74 Media goes straight to the heart of the matter: Many students are disengaged not because they can’t do math, but because they don’t see its relevance. And many educators are skeptical that changing their teaching practices will result in improved outcomes. At Imagine Learning, we’re tackling that head-on — with ImagineIM, a problem-based math curriculum that helps educators orchestrate classroom experiences that are meaningful, accessible, and connected to the world students live in. We have the tools and the research. What we need now is the will to evolve — and the courage to try new approaches, such as problem-based learning, that put students’ understanding first. #MathEducation #StudentEngagement #CurriculumInnovation #ImagineLearning https://lnkd.in/gJhAveEN

Should we be teaching kindness? 🤔 In short, yes. While research suggests that kindness is (at least in part) innate, it needs to be nurtured and reinforced like any other skill—not just as a “nice-to-have,” but with the same intention we give to reading and math. Acts of kindness make the world a better place. And let’s be honest—that warm, fuzzy feeling you get from helping someone else? That's pretty great too. 👏 Students have an enormous capacity for generosity. Just look at the Imagine Math students who selflessly donate their THINK points to causes they care about. With access to opportunities like this, to step beyond the classroom into real communities, kindness becomes more than a value—it becomes action that can make a real difference. 💙 How do you foster kindness in your classroom? #DoMathPayItForward #Math

💡 What an inspiring time at Eastern Carver County Schools! Last week, we jetted off to the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” to visit two middle schools and talk all things Twig Science. And what did we find? The next generation of scientists and engineers in action. 🧑🔬 As always, it was a pleasure to meet each of you. Thank you for welcoming us into your learning spaces!
