Our #Digesting #Data series, where we highlight our past research in user-friendly format, continues with this article that investigates the impact of #patient #engagement on research processes & outcomes. The study reveals that when #patients actively participate in research, they provide unique insights that can shape research priorities, methodologies, and interpretations. Next in our #Digesting #Data series, where we highlight our past research in user-friendly format, we look at a patient-led, peer-to-peer qualitative study on the psychosocial relationship between young adults with #IBD. The study explores the complex relationship between young adults with #IBD and food and highlights how #IBD affects not only physical health, but also emotional and social aspects of life: http://bit.ly/46RqSeM

Proud of our team, Dr Jen Olson. (Ottawa Hospital Research Institute), Adrijana D'SIlva (University of Calgary) and Ben Kim (Patient Research Partner), who presented about the implementation of digital tools for the management of #IBS and #IBD at the AbSPORU 2025 NorthWest SPOR Collaborative Forum last week. Their presentation provided an overview of our Network's initiatives in supporting digital tools for the management of #IBS and #IBD and outlined projects aimed at identifying factors that influence the sustained use of digital tools among individuals living with IBD/IBS along with challenges and opportunities in this field, the potential impact of these tools, and their broader application to other disease groups, particularly in the implementation of digital tools for chronic disease self-management within primary care settings. They also talked about Health App Finder: an online directory of IBS Self-Management Apps.
