And our approach works: 94% of the people we served last year remained stably housed. But services alone will not address the homelessness crisis -- we need effective policies to keep people housed. We prevent homelessness by partnering with families as they navigate their journey from housing insecurity to a beautiful life. After offering housing stabilization services like rental and utility assistance, Impact NW works alongside each family to support their long-term goals and provide upstream services to thrive such as; academic enrichment for children, positive parenting support, health resources, job/career services, addiction recovery, and domestic violence services. It’s Impact NW’s 59th Anniversary! 🎉 Impact NW was formed by neighbors who came together to combat poverty and deteriorating conditions in Southeast Portland in the 1966. And here we are, 59 years later, continuing to find ways to meet our community's most pressing needs across the Portland-Vancouver area.
