Imperfect Foods was founded in 2015 with a mission to reduce food waste and build a better food system for everyone. We offer imperfect (yet delicious) produce, affordable pantry items, and quality meat and dairy. We deliver them conveniently to our customers’ doorsteps and pride ourselves on offering up to a 30% discount compared to grocery store prices. Our customers can get the healthy, seasonal produce they want alongside the grocery staples they rely on, without having to compromise their budget or values. We’re proving that doing the right thing for the planet doesn’t have to cost more, and that shopping for quality ingredients can support the people and resources that it takes to grow our favorite foods. Our hearts have been with Southern California all week, and they're breaking at the devastation wrought by wildfires. We don’t just serve the greater Los Angeles community—we also live and work there, as it’s home to one of our major fulfillment centers. We’ve checked in with all our employees and drivers in the impacted areas and are relieved to report that everyone is safe. Our hardworking teams are continuing to deliver to residents throughout the city, prioritizing safety above all. We're also offering our customers in LA County free shipping on orders placed by 1/14, and supporting the community in the way we know best: with nourishment. Our work to create a more sustainable food system by reducing food waste—which mitigates climate change—wouldn’t be possible without donation partners that help ensure food goes to its highest outcome. We’ll continue to support the incredible food access efforts of longtime partners like Hollywood Food Coalition, Food Forward, Elim Food Pantry, Until We Rise, and La La Farm. We're also helping supply water and prepared meals to residents through Hollywood Food Coalition and distributing energy bars and healthy snacks to firefighters and front line workers in Pasadena as they work tirelessly in the days to come.
