About us
Celebrating 65 years of advancing corrosion education and excellence — welcome to the Underground Corrosion Short Course (UCSC), the Home of the 2026 Short Course, held February 24–26, 2026, at the Fort Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Formerly known as the Purdue Short Courses, UCSC was founded in 1961 to enhance professional training across the corrosion control, pipeline integrity, and coatings industries. Over six decades later, it continues to grow — now welcoming over 500 participants annually from across the nation. Hosted in partnership with the Indiana Corrosion Society (ICS), UCSC serves as a vital hub for technical exchange, industry collaboration, and professional development. ICS functions as a technical committee and a clearinghouse for corrosion-related engineering challenges throughout Indiana, helping local operators prevent interference current and other corrosion issues through shared expertise and coordination. From technicians to industry leaders, UCSC remains a cornerstone event for those dedicated to protecting infrastructure and advancing corrosion control technologies.
