During Substance Use Prevention Month we recognize that substance use disorder (SUD) can affect any of us. Your sibling, child, parent, friend, coworker or others could be struggling with SUD and searching for help. Nearly 1 in 6 Americans aged 12 and older, about 48.4 million people, had a substance use disorder (SUD) in the past year. According to the CDC, early intervention through strategies like family-based programs, school initiatives, and healthcare screenings can delay the onset of substance use and reduce the risk of long-term health issues, including addiction and overdose. At Indivior we want to thank the people and community leaders working every day to promote prevention and early intervention strategies so that more people suffering from SUD have access to care. Together, we can create a brighter future for people experiencing SUD. To learn more about prevention resources and events, visit: https://lnkd.in/g7C66-Dh

On International Recovery Day, we honor the 1.2 million Americans in recovery from opioid use disorder and the communities that helped them get there. This global observance unites recovery communities across six continents and dozens of countries, celebrating all pathways to healing, from peer support to clinical care. Recovery is possible, but it’s not guaranteed. In 2024, an estimated 3 million people in the U.S. met the criteria for opioid use disorder, and many still face barriers to care. We’ve made progress, but there’s more to do to ensure recovery is accessible to everyone. To learn more, visit: https://lnkd.in/drwjF6R

We appreciate the continued bipartisan commitment to expanding access to prevention, treatment, and recovery services for those impacted by opioid use disorder. #SUPPORTAct #OUDRecovery
