  • Shipbuilders joined hundreds of walkers at Jones Park for the 2025 Gulf Coast Heart Walk, where together they raised more than $260,000 to fund research, education, and lifesaving programs through the @American Heart Association. As an event sponsor, Ingalls hosted the “Strokes for Strokes” activation station, where participants putted with their non-dominant hand to raise awareness of stroke symptoms and honor those affected. Way to go, shipbuilders for supporting important causes in our community.

  • At Ingalls, we build ships as though our sons and daughters may one day sail on them. For shipfitter apprentice Monica McCann, they do. “I have a daughter that’s assigned to USS Green Bay (LPD 20), and a son assigned to USS Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee (DDG 123). Even after my babies left home as adults, they’ve still found ways to remain my biggest inspiration in life.” Our mission has always been part of her story and why she is committed to doing what is right for the warfighter. • For 250 years, the U.S. Navy has sailed the globe defending freedom and deterring threats. For nearly 87 of those years, Ingalls shipbuilders have proudly supported that mission, turning steel into the ships that carry the Navy’s power and purpose. From shipbuilder to sailor, together we ensure the United States fleet stands ready to safeguard freedom for generations. Pictured are sailors assigned to the Ingalls-built USS America #LHA6 and Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit standing in formation on August 2, 2025, for a photo commemorating the U.S. Navy’s 250 years of service. 📷U.S. Navy

  • Twenty-five years ago, the USS Cole #DDG67 reminded the world what American resolve looks like. After the tragic attack that claimed 17 Sailors and wounded 39 more, Ingalls Shipbuilders stood ready, not just to repair a ship, but to honor their sacrifice. Nearly a thousand shipbuilders worked with purpose and pride to rebuild the Cole, returning her to service as a symbol of strength, endurance, and unity. Today, we remember the heroes of October 12, 2000 and reaffirm the promise behind every keel we lay: to build with integrity, stand with the fleet, and serve those who serve our nation. The golden time of day ☀️ Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Jack H. Lucas (#DDG125), built by Ingalls Shipbuilding, a Division of HII, transits the San Diego Bay in San Diego, Calif., on September 2. DDG 125 was commissioned in Tampa, Fla., in October 2023. As the first Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyer to enter the US Navy fleet, DDG 125 represents the next generation of surface combatants equipped with enhanced capabilities to support the Navy’s evolving missions. To date, Ingalls has proudly delivered 35 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers to the U.S. Navy and our shipbuilders are honored to continue building these highly-capable ships. 📸: U.S. Navy/MCSA Thomas

  • Ingalls shipbuilders came together to support animals in need, donating nearly 250 pounds of kibble, 100+ cans of wet food, towels, cleaning supplies, treats, and toys for the Jackson County Animal Shelter. Caring for pets in need is an important cause to our shipbuilders, and this drive showed how compassion and connection can make an impact both inside and outside our gates. Way to go!
