  Glass Lewis drops benchmark policies starting 2027 Glass Lewis recently signaled the end of its one-size-fits-all benchmark voting guidelines, moving to customizable policy menus in 2027. For Texas issuers and institutional investors, this shift lands amid heightened scrutiny of proxy advisors here at home, active investigations by the Texas AG, and the state’s SB 2337 disclosure regime (currently enjoined) aimed at teasing apart financial versus non-financial factors.   This could reshape how investor expectations are framed on board refreshment, shareholder rights, and pay. For public funds and asset managers, bespoke voting frameworks may offer better alignment with fiduciary priorities and local policy direction.   Bottom line: default playbooks are fading.
