Our Green Bay, WI, facility recently welcomed importers and distributors of beef from Central America and the Dominican Republic. The visit, supported by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board, and a Wisconsin Initiative for Agricultural Exports (WIAE) Export Expansion Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP), provided delegates with a firsthand look at U.S. beef production.

Today, we were joined by local and state elected officials, community leaders and JBS team members to celebrate the groundbreaking of our state-of-the-art sausage production facility in Perry, Iowa. When complete next year, the facility will produce 130 million pounds of sausage annually and will employ 500 team members. Zach Nunn, Iowa Representative, stated, “Today’s groundbreaking shows what ‘Perry Strong’ really means. I’m proud of the work we’ve done together and the partnership between JBS, local leaders and a community that never stopped moving forward. This new facility will create hundreds of good-paying jobs, support Iowa pork producers and drive growth across Dallas County. It’s a big win for working families and a model for rural development — led by local leadership, private investment and a shared commitment to community.” Learn more about the event here: https://lnkd.in/ghq3e-fK

JBS USA is working to make the communities where our team members live and work stronger. Our Council Bluffs, IA, team donates various meat items to Thriving Titans, a food pantry in their community. Before working with our Council Bluffs team, Thriving Titans didn’t have any fresh meat products to offer their families. We are proud to have stepped up and assisted the food pantry with their fresh meat needs.
