JD Finish Line has a shared passion for investing from within and fostering whole-person development by being “The Place to Grow” for employees. As an organization, we recognize the importance of providing tools to help employees develop themselves to reach their full potential. Four years ago, in support of that recognition, JD Finish Line launched its revamped internship program, the Corporate Academy. The exclusively internal program invites employees from the Retail, Distribution Center, and Customer Care teams to JD Finish Line’s corporate office two times a year to learn integral parts of the business, develop critical skills, and provide development opportunities in their career paths. Since the start of the Corporate Academy four years ago, the organization has welcomed 78 interns, with over 56% of them taking permanent roles within the corporate team following their sessions. This spring, the company welcomed five interns from the distribution center and retail stores nationwide, and we are now in the last three weeks of the program.
