We all want children to get to school safely—whether by bike, on foot, or by rolling along. Today, on National Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day, we’re spotlighting a project that puts safety first. We teamed up with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) to conduct a TEAP study in Marysville, Kansas, that explores ways to make routes to school safer and more accessible for the children in the community. Read about the study—and its recommendations—here: https://ow.ly/nRpw50X8Fmj #walkrolltoschool #besafe #stayingactive #funwithkids

Your goals. Our people. One vision.
About us
Since 1937, we’ve helped clients thrive. Our company grew up in Wahoo, Nebraska, and there we cultivated our reputation for treating our clients and employees like family. As we built our name in the industry and relationships with our clients, we learned more about their diverse needs. After specializing in a few core areas such as bridge design and construction, we broadened our services and developed the expertise needed to help communities thrive. Now, we excel in engineering, architecture, surveying, planning, community engagement, environmental sciences, and funding. Over the decades, we’ve opened ten offices and hired over two hundred people so we can solve almost any problem in any place. Our clients are often local leaders of villages, cities, counties, and states. They’re also community bedrocks like farmers, firefighters, librarians, and business people. We partner with every client, big or small, and help them achieve their goals. With roots across the Midwest, we care about sustaining the places that people call home. What sets us apart: Putting people first - Treating people right is our priority. Whether client or employee, we’re invested in the success of those around us. Working where home is - As professionals and as residents, we’re committed to the prosperity of the heartland. That’s why our employees serve as city engineers, floodplain managers, and community organizers. Pairing personalized attention and expertise - Years of industry experience taught us how to best meet our clients’ needs. We’re a person-to-person company with the resources of a large firm.

Did you know Nebraska is home to the swift fox, one of the prairie’s smallest and most endangered animals? Our Environmental Sciences team recently completed a habitat survey in western Nebraska to ensure construction could move forward without impacting this rare species. This work isn’t just about compliance—it’s about stewardship. By combining on-the-ground fieldwork with drone technology, our team is helping to support agricultural growth while protecting fragile ecosystems. Learn more about the project and the swift fox: https://lnkd.in/gBmGri4N Thank you, Settje Agri-Services and Engineering, Inc., for this great partnership. #EnvironmentalStewardship #SwiftFox #EndangeredSpecies #PrairieEcosystem #JEO

This week, as we celebrate both Roundabout Week and Construction Appreciation Week, we’re highlighting the exciting progress happening at 205th and Cumberland Drive in Omaha. This project started with a traffic study conducted by our team in partnership with Omaha Public Works. The goal: Improve safety and manage fluctuating traffic volumes at this highly congested intersection. After using forecasting and simulation to evaluate multiple alternatives, a roundabout emerged as the best option. From there, our team designed the plans, and our Construction Administration team is now onsite to make sure everything comes together smoothly. The project features: -Pavement reconstruction -Storm drainage upgrades -A signalized RRFB pedestrian crossing -Extensive coordination for utility relocations This roundabout project exemplifies how thoughtful design and construction engineering can drive successful public improvements. A big thank you to Omaha Public Works, our contracting partners, and, of course, our JEO team for keeping Omaha moving safely. #ConstructionAppreciationWeek #RoundaboutWeek #TransportationEngineering
