We thank the Office of Governor Josh Shapiro, DHS, our legislative partners and local leadership for confronting these urgent changes head-on.
The stakes are clear:
🗓️ Starting Sept 1, SNAP recipients must report 20 hours/week of work, training, or volunteering.
📈 144,000 Pennsylvanians risk losing critical food support (about 45,000 in #Philadephia)
📃 Requirements for certain individuals will expand this Fall
At Philadelphia Works, under the leadership of Patrick Clancy, we’re leveraging our network of employers, training providers, and partners to connect residents with opportunities and resources to meet these thresholds.
Now is the time for community organizations, employers, and civic leaders to step forward, protect food security, expand opportunity, and ensure no Pennsylvanian is left behind.
