Peace of mind. That's what our riders should feel when stepping into one of our aircraft. That's why we're investing so heavily now in building redundancies and testing every possible scenario. Four batteries, three flight computers, six propellers, and much more. There is no single point of failure. That's safety and reliability by design. But you don't have to take our word for it. See for yourself in our latest test where our aircraft safely navigates landing after disengaging two propellers.

  • This new building will more than double our manufacturing footprint in Marina, CA when it's handed over to our team next month. With the fifth aircraft from our production line set to join our flight test program, and our team already producing parts equivalent to one aircraft per month, our stepwise approach to scaling manufacturing is paying off and securing us the same head start in manufacturing that we have in certifying our aircraft.

    CFO Joby Aviation (NYSE: JOBY)

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Joby Aviation as Chief Financial Officer. Joby’s mission to bring quiet, zero-emissions air travel to our cities resonates with me — as a lifelong motor vehicle enthusiast and, more recently, a student pilot taking the skies of the beautiful SF Bay Area. The opportunity to help shape the future of aviation is more than a career milestone — it’s personal. I’m especially excited to work alongside JoeBen Bevirt, Joby’s Founder and CEO — one of the most visionary inventors and engineers I’ve ever encountered. His relentless passion for innovation and belief in what’s possible is inspiring. I’m honored to join him, the Joby executive team, and work with Paul Sciarra and Joby's Board of Directors in this next phase of the company’s journey. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Manish Chandra and the incredible Poshmark team for the years of collaboration, growth, and impact — from managing the public company process, to the acquisition by Naver, and to the post-acquisition chapter, and to Kaustubh Khandelwal, a key partner who now takes on the CFO organization. A special thanks to Namsun Kim for his support and partnership throughout that chapter and beyond. As I step into this new role at Joby, I’m energized by the road (and airspace) ahead — and deeply committed to helping bring a new form of clean, scalable aviation to the world.   The sky is not the limit — there is no limit.  Let’s fly! https://lnkd.in/gCDMvxa6 #JobyAviation #CFO #FutureOfFlight #eVTOL #Leadership #CleanAviation #Gratitude

  • Our Q1 2025 Results: A second consecutive quarter of record progress on certification. Pilot-on-board transition is now a routine part of flight test activities. UK launch partnership with Virgin Atlantic. Fifth aircraft coming off the production line. Expanded manufacturing facility set for handover. $813M in cash and short-term investments plus additional $500M from Toyota. Read more about our achievements in our Shareholder Letter: https://lnkd.in/gQTaPGCK Record certification progress: We exceeded last quarter’s record progress on the FAA side of the fourth stage of the certification process, moving forward by 12 points to 43% complete. The Joby side of the fourth stage is now 62% complete. Pilot-on-board transition flight: We reached a landmark moment in our aircraft test program, successfully completing flights with a full transition from vertical to cruise flight, and back again, with a pilot onboard. Since completing our first full pilot-on-board transition on April 22, 2025, we have flown multiple transition flights with three different pilots at the controls, as we became the first company to routinely perform inhabited testing of an electric air taxi from hover to wingborne flight. UK launch partnership: We announced a partnership with Virgin Atlantic, a premium long-haul UK airline, that will see us work together on the launch of our service in the UK. The partnership builds on an existing agreement between Joby and Delta Air Lines and aims to offer seamless, zero-emission, short-range journeys across the UK, starting with regional and city connections from Virgin Atlantic’s hubs at Heathrow and Manchester Airport. Manufacturing progress: The fifth aircraft to be produced on our pilot manufacturing line in Marina, CA, has been powered on and is undergoing final functional checks, ahead of beginning flight testing. It will become the sixth aircraft in our active flight test program, which includes two aircraft stationed at Edwards Air Force Base. Growth in Marina: Less than a year after breaking ground, and with the support of a CalCompetes grant from the California Governor’s Office, our expanded manufacturing facility in Marina, CA is nearing completion and is set to be handed over to our team next month. The new building more than doubles our manufacturing footprint in Marina and will also house an expanded pilot training and flight simulation center as well as aircraft maintenance facilities designed to support the scaling of our commercial operations. Joby management will host a live audio webcast of its conference call to discuss the results at 2:00 p.m. PT (5:00 p.m. ET) today, accessible from our investor website.

  • The fifth aircraft to be built on our pilot manufacturing line in Marina, CA has been officially powered on and is getting its final checkups before taking to the skies! Soon, it’ll join our active flight test fleet—bringing the total to six, including two based at Edwards Air Force Base. We’re flying more than ever as we push toward certification and early commercial use. In April alone, our team completed up to eight flights a day across two aircraft in two locations. The pace is picking up, and we’re just getting started.

  • APRIL 14, 2025 // EDWARDS AFB, CA In preparation for completing pilot-on-board transition flights, our team conducted rigorous failure injection testing—intentionally disabling motors, actuators, and batteries mid-flight. Thanks to the layers of resilience built into our aircraft, we were able to maintain safe flight and execute a vertical landing without any changes to pilot procedures in every case. 🎥 Watch the film to see actual footage from the tests.
