Johnston Community College is helping power the region’s broadband future. Yesterday, County Commissioners along with Johnston County NC - Economic Development joined JCC, Corning Inc., Brightspeed, and the Triangle East Chamber to celebrate the launch of the new Fiber Optic Technician program at JCC’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Facility in Four Oaks. This hands-on program will prepare students for high-demand careers in fiber installation, splicing, and network deployment. We look forward to seeing JCC graduates in the workforce support the growing need for reliable, high-speed broadband across Johnston County and beyond. Great things happen when education, industry, and community come together to build opportunity and connect our region.
