The future of ophthalmology was on full display at the Ophthalmic Resident Symposium held at the Johnson & Johnson Institute, located at our state-of-the-art Palm Beach Gardens, Florida campus — a 25,000-square foot facility designed to enhance education with advanced technology. We were thrilled to welcome third-year residents and fellows from across the U.S. for a deep dive into the fundamentals of cataract surgery, life after residency, and the realities of early practice. A big thank you to our expert faculty, Dr. Keith Walter, Dr. Karolinne Maia Rocha M.D, Ph.D, Dr. Brian Szabo, Dr. Priya Mathews, and Dr. Nicole Bajic, who led dynamic sessions on our TECNIS™ Portfolio, astigmatism management, and the latest innovations in patient care. A highlight of the event was the hands-on Phaco and intraocular lens (IOL) loading labs, providing participants with valuable practical experience in a supportive, collaborative environment.
