Exciting to see 'The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay' continuing to make headlines. As Peter Gelb, General Manager of the Metropolitan Opera, told The New York Times: “This is the kind of opera that can’t be done in an old-fashioned way. It requires the mastery of video to make it flow.” A powerful reminder of how technology and storytelling can come together to redefine what’s possible on stage. Find out how we partnered with The Metropolitan Opera Guild to bring 'The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay' to life. Hear from Peter Gelb, The Met’s General Manager, on why he thinks this has been one of the most impressive productions in the history of The Met – and from Mark Grimmer on the show’s wider cultural impact. Set Designer Jenny Melville and Video Design Director Nicol Scott share their creative vision and take us behind the curtain of how the production came together. Inspired by comic language and the landscapes of wartime New York and Prague, our team built a world that fuses theatrical illusion, immersive design and operatic tradition. Through projection, lighting and evolving scenery, we show what integrated design can achieve in a live performance of this scale. The result: a sold-out run and a significant rise in new audiences for The Met. As the modern sports fan evolves, so must the spaces that bring them together. Stadiums can no longer exist solely for game days — they must become destinations that invite connection, creativity, and culture year-round. At SVB LIVE 2025, Journey’s Ben Townsend joined Tom Cassidy of Liverpool Football Club and Alice Sarsfield-Hall of blooloop to explore how the world’s most iconic venues can adapt to new expectations and new audiences. “A stadium should be a visitor attraction where we play a bit of football.” That mindset captures the shift perfectly — from single-purpose arenas to living venues that celebrate identity, community, and experience in every detail. Because the stadiums that thrive tomorrow will be those that design for experiences — not events. Katie McIntyre, Cassandra Calleja #SVBLIVE

Visiting the #OsakaExpo2025 and seeing the KSA pavilion was truly a privilege. I was unexpectedly moved - perhaps because I watched firsthand as my former colleagues at Squint/Opera and 59 Studio (now part of the Journey family) poured two years of dedication, collaboration, and creativity into this project. The results speak volumes. This is a heartfelt tribute to some of the most talented minds I’ve had the pleasure of working with - your incredible work should fill you with nothing but pride!

As Expo 2025 Osaka draws to a close, we’re reflecting on how the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion has proven itself as an all-encompassing expression of the nation's culture, art, and people. From the nightly performances in the Courtyard to galleries exploring cities, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion drew over 2 million visitors, record crowds of 24,142 in a single day, and more than 2,400 live events. The Pavilion ultimately earned Gold at the New York Architectural Design Awards, the Expo Innovation Award, and dual Golds at the World Expolympics. Last week I had the fortunate opportunity to finally visit Abrahamic Family House whilst in the UAE for another upcoming project. It features a stunning three part media installation from Squint/Opera / Journey of which I helped with the initial design and global concept. It was eye opening to see the religious tolerance on display in such an expressive and beautifully designed way, especially in contrast to the highly volatile nature of the UK's current state. https://lnkd.in/eVdFTNR2
