JCF just launched its Climate Opportunity & Resilience Fund, a $100 million fund designed to unlock $1 billion in climate and clean energy projects in under-resourced communities across the country. These projects do more than provide clean energy access. They provide good-paying jobs, create healthier communities, and build long-term environmental and economic resilience. We’re partnering with funders and mission-aligned investors inspired by climate and clean energy solutions that deliver transformative social, environmental, and economic impact. Let’s work together. I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at the Accelerating Climate Resilience & Renewable Energy (ACRRE) convention in Atlanta, Georgia. It was a unique event which brought together professionals across the clean energy ecosystem - including founders, funders, and project facilitators who are committed to the growth and development of the clean energy ecosystem in support of historically underserved communities. I spoke about how Justice Climate Fund continues to be focused on our mission, regardless of what is happening on the federal level. We are building off existing momentum, finding creative ways to move forward our project pipeline while also building up the capacity of our extensive community lender network to unlock additional capital for equitable and just climate lending. A huge shout out to Dr. Reginald P. and the Freedmen Green Bank & Trust team for hosting an incredible convening! I left feeling re-energized and hopeful that collectively, with the right partnerships, we will successfully navigate all of the current headwinds. It was also an opportunity to get face time with some incredible leaders including Anthony Kinslow II, PhD, CEM, (Gemini Energy Solutions, Inc.) Dana Clare Redden (Solar Stewards), Michael Jones (RSF | Regenerative Social Finance), Rebeccah Sanders (Clean Energy Jobs and Justice Fund), JOSEPH S. (ADL Solutions) and more!
