Medical Specialist Group (MSG) in Guernsey has been fined £100,000 following a data breach that exposed thousands of emails containing sensitive patient information. The breach was linked to missed security updates and went undetected for over three months, resulting in phishing attacks targeting patients. The Office of the Data Protection Authority found MSG failed to take reasonable steps to protect personal data.
