Today marks ten years since One Light Luxury Apartments opened its doors and changed the trajectory of downtown Kansas City. As the first residential tower built in fifty years, it set the bar for what downtown living could be and signaled a new era in our city. The headline is simple. Over the past decade, 78% of all new high-rise residential units in downtown KC have been built in the Power & Light District. That investment didn’t just bring people back. It rebuilt the heart of the city that so many of us experience today. Ten years in, the impact is unmistakable. And we’re just getting started.

Thousands of fans filled KC Live! in the Power & Light District for the first-ever New Heights Tailgate this past Sunday. Chiefs Kingdom and Eagles fans united to celebrate the Kelce Brothers and illustrated just how much energy we can create together in the heart of KC. This wasn’t just a tailgate. It was franchise development in real time. A fan-first platform with proof that the right stage can turn passion into scale and energy into brand impact. Thanks to our partners at Audible and Wondery, the incredible team who brought the vision to life, and every single fan who showed up and showed out.

This weekend was another big one for the Power & Light District. FOX Sports’ NFL Sunday broadcast from KC Live!, Audible showed up strong with the New Heights Tailgate, and thousands came out for the Chiefs–Eagles rematch. Brady even hit Gronk with a pass from balcony to balcony. Learn more about the rare regular season broadcast in this Forbes article where Rod Conti, FOX Sports SVP of Studio remote operations says of KC Live!: “It was almost custom made for something like this. Power & Light has presently been one of the most perfect fits." https://lnkd.in/g7UrnbkJ
