The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has ruled that our lawsuit against Harvard University can move forward. A major victory for the families who trusted Harvard with their loved ones’ final wishes. The Court agreed that Harvard and its leadership may be held accountable for years of failures in oversight at the Harvard Medical School morgue, where donated human remains were desecrated and sold. “This case is about dignity and accountability,” said Keches Law Group Managing Partner Sean Flaherty. “Harvard can’t hide behind immunity when it failed to protect the people who gave the ultimate gift, the donation of their bodies for science and education.” Keches Law Group is proud to represent the families seeking truth and justice in this deeply disturbing case. Keches Law Group was proud to sponsor the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys (MBWA) Annual Ida B. Wells Awards Celebration! I had a wonderful time reconnecting with Desiree Murphy, Esq. immediate past president of MBWA, and Tara Dunn Jackson the current president, who did an incredible job organizing such an impactful event. It was also great to catch up with my longtime friend and mentor, Stesha Emmanuel, whose continued support and guidance mean so much to me. I was glad to attend alongside Carly Paul, a legal assistant at the firm and future Northeastern law student! The highlight of the evening? An unforgettable keynote speech by Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley which was powerful, moving, and deeply inspiring. Already looking forward to attending again next year! #MBWA #IdaBWellsAwards #WomenInLaw #Community #KechesLawGroup #RepresentationMatters #Leadership #AyannaPressley
