The Golf Digest Open National Championship was contested at Streamsong Resort in early September, bringing together golfers from coast to coast who played their way into the three-day championship across eight different qualifiers held over the spring and summer. The top three gross and net teams from each qualifier earned their place at Streamsong, where the best of the best faced off for the title and the chance to win the golf trip of a lifetime to Ireland. Congratulations to Drazen Trkulja and Marc Engellenner on becoming back-to-back national champions after a birdie on the second playoff hole and a big thanks to all the golfers that joined us this year for the event series. Finally, a special shoutout to our KemperSports LIVE team who managed each of the qualifiers and the national championship, delivering a fun and first-class tournament experience for all participants. #ThisIsKemperSports

We’re excited to announce Dave Groelle, a 25+-year KemperSports veteran, as the company’s National Agronomist! 🌱   In this role, Dave will leverage his broad expertise in modern agronomic practices, environmental sensitivity, and track record of developing great superintendents to lead the support of KemperSports’ agronomic teams and key development projects. He will also lead KemperSports Green to a Tee – KemperSports’ environmental initiative that delivers planet-friendly practices in habitat management, water and fuel conservation, energy usage, and recycling.   Join us in congratulating Dave on this well-deserved role!   #ThisIsKemperSports 

Last week, The Evans at Canal Shores celebrated a grand opening after undergoing an extensive renovation. The renovation, which started in 2022 and was led by architect Todd Quitno, modernized and reimagined this community-centric, player-friendly urban golf course. Located alongside the North Shore Canal which feeds into the Chicago River, The Evans at Canal Shores will serve as a beacon for youth golf development and a youth caddie training facility through partnerships with the First Tee – Greater Chicago and the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation. We’re excited about this next chapter for The Evans at Canal Shores and are so thankful to every single person who played a part in what was a true community project to ensure “The Gem in Your Backyard” thrives for generations to come. #ThisIsKemperSports

What a finish at Harborside! ⛳ Last week, 104 teams competed across the Port and Starboard Courses at Harborside International Golf Center in the Chicago District Golf Association KemperSports Two-Person Scramble Championship presented by Callaway Golf. Throughout the competition season, teams earned their spots through performances at qualifiers held earlier in the season across seven different KemperSports properties – The Glen Club, Winnetka Golf Club, Cantigny Golf, Hawthorn Woods Country Club, Bolingbrook Golf Club, Harborside and Deerpath Golf Course. Across the seven qualifiers and last week’s finals, total participation climbed north of 900! Cheers and congratulations to the eight duos who etched their names on the Kemper Cup and are heading to Sand Valley for their stellar play. And thank you to our friends at the CDGA for your partnership and all 900+ of you that made year five of this event series the best one yet! #ThisIsKemperSports 

Kicking off the week with a KemperSports family shoutout to our amazing team at Cypress Head Golf Club (Port Orange, FL) for winning Best Golf Course in both the Port Orange's The Hometown News 2025 Reader's Choice Awards and Daytona Beach News-Journal's 2025 Volusia-Flagler Community’s Choice Awards! Last week, Sand Creek Station had the honor of hosting the inaugural Midwest Adaptive Open organized by Central Links Golf. This regional championship brought together 26 golfers from 12 different states to the site of the third U.S. Adaptive Open Championship. Over the two days and 36 holes, competitors showcased incredible skill and built community through their shared experiences and inspiring stories. Hats off to our team at Sand Creek Station for once again providing these players with a first-class tournament experience, and a big thanks to Central Links Golf, volunteers and supporters for bringing the event to life. In advance of the tournament, Sand Creek Station also hosted Wichita Adaptive Sports and gave youth from Wichita and surrounding local communities the opportunity to experience the game of golf in a variety of new ways, further underscoring its continued commitment to accessibility and inclusion and its growing reputation as a leader in adaptive golf. #ThisIsKemperSports
