I went from 0 interviews to 13 interviews And I didn't change any of my qualifications. Instead I focused on these 3 things: 1️⃣ SHORTER = BETTER Recruiters spend 10-30 seconds looking at a resume. That means they don't read it, they scan it quickly. My resume used to be 872 words long. I got 0 interviews with it. 💡 Studies show 350-550 word resumes tend to land the most interviews. So I reduced my resume to 498 words (see my previous post) and my interview rate instantly went up. 2️⃣ DIFFERENT > BETTER To stand out from the 750+ candidates, I decided I needed a better "hook." I deleted my long resume summary paragraph. I replaced it with this: "Content wizard, digital marketer, writer, worked at Emmy award-winning production studio, beat Mark Zuckerberg at hockey." ☝ I got asked about that Zuckerberg story in every interview 😅 3️⃣ QUICKER KEYWORDS Contrary to popular belief, ATS doesn't use AI to grade your resume. Instead, it's the recruiter searching their ATS for specific keywords. 💡 To make sure I show up in search results, I added 15 more skills to my skills section. This reduced my customization time from 1 hour to 15 minutes since I could just replace those skills instantly. 👉 Job searching in 2025 is a lot more technical than before. It's just as much about HOW you present your qualifications as the qualifications themselves. So try this: ↳ Keep your resume to 350-550 words ↳ Write a unique resume summary ↳ Add at least 25 skills to your skills list You CAN 100% get hired in this market. It just requires a slightly "unique" approach 😉 ________ P.S. If you'd like to learn more about these 3 strategies, give my profile a follow and next week I'm doing another free resume workshop. _ #resume #hiring

  • You’ll outgrow jobs and that’s ok. Don't let fear keep you in a role you've outgrown. As you gain: New skills Experience Better self-awareness The role that once energized you might start to feel constraining. That's not bad. It's a sign you're ready for new challenges. Some advice on navigating career transitions: ↳ Regularly check in with yourself. Are you feeling challenged, valued, and fulfilled in your work? If not, explore what needs to change. ↳ Outgrowing a role doesn't mean you've failed. It means you've learned, grown, and are ready for new challenges. ↳ Don't let golden handcuffs (lucrative pay & benefits that keep you in a misaligned role) keep you stuck. Financial stability is important, but so is long-term career satisfaction and growth. ↳ Trust your gut. If a role or company feels misaligned, don't ignore that intuition. Dig deeper. ↳ Leave on good terms. Express gratitude, give proper notice, and support a smooth transition. Burning bridges rarely serves you in the long run.

  • Mental clarity is your most valuable asset. Here's how to protect and develop it in your career: We're bombarded with information, opinions, and distractions designed to keep us confused and reactive. The ability to think clearly, make decisions confidently, and see situations objectively becomes your competitive advantage. How to build and maintain mental clarity: 1️⃣ Limit information consumption  ↳ Choose a few high-quality sources rather than scrolling endlessly through conflicting opinions and hot takes. 2️⃣ Create space for deep thinking  ↳ Block time on your calendar for strategic thinking without meetings, messages, or interruptions. 3️⃣ Write to clarify your thoughts  ↳ Putting ideas on paper forces you to organize unclear thinking and identify gaps in your reasoning. 4️⃣ Question your assumptions regularly  ↳ Ask yourself what you believe and why, rather than accepting inherited opinions as truth. 5️⃣ Remove yourself from drama and politics  ↳ Energy spent on workplace gossip and conflicts is energy you can't use for meaningful work. 6️⃣ Make decisions based on principles, not emotions  ↳ Establish clear values and criteria for choices so you're not swayed by temporary feelings or pressure. The professionals who advance consistently aren't necessarily smarter. They're clearer about what matters, what they want, and what actions will get them there. What's one practice that's helped you think more clearly in your career? Lets chat!
