Last Friday we celebrated “topping out” of HealthPoint (CHC) Tukwila, which may be the first mass timber healthcare building in the Seattle area. The site has an amazing story – it previously housed a motel that was a crime magnet with more than half of Tukwila’s 911 calls. Now it boasts a beautiful mass timber building that will provide the community with medical, dental, behavioral health, naturopathic care, substance use treatment, and a pharmacy, among other expanded services. Our team members on this project included Miller Hayashi Architects, PLLC and BNBuilders. Mass timber was installed by Western Wood Structures Inc. and fabricated by Kalesnikoff. KPFF’s structural team included Alec Yeutter, Bill Davison, Jon Putnam, Michelle Xue, and Jacob McCann. Our civil team included Meghan Martella and Jeremy Febus. #KPFF #EngineeringExcellence #EngineeringOpportunities #MassTimber

KPFF is proud to have provided structural engineering services for the newly-opened KP Lakewood Medical Office Building Replacement project in the Denver, Colorado area. The Lakewood MOB Replacement was fueled by Kaiser Permanente’s "Center of Excellence" model, which aims to reduce construction costs and durations by deploying templated and pre-fabricated components within the design, and to create familiar and consistent facilities across the KP network, for both patients and care providers alike. Through the KP CoE framework, our Lakewood MOB Replacement project is on track to achieve a 14.1% building cost savings and a 27% schedule reduction as compared to a conventional delivery, and is tracking LEED Gold certification.
Our new Lakewood Medical Offices are nearly open! Some of what you can look forward to: 🩺 More exam rooms, which are larger, more comfortable, and feature new technologies 🏥 Double the number of urgent care rooms at our busiest Colorado urgent care 🙌 More services under one roof 🌱 Sustainable features that will make the offices feel healthier and improve the environmental health of the community 📍8301 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood, CO 80226, right next to the old offices We can’t wait to welcome patients on January 20! Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this milestone possible, including Lakewood mayor Wendi Strom, Jeffco EDC, Jeffco Schools, Jeffco Schools Foundation, The Action Center, Butterly Pavilion, and The Colorado Green Business Network. Our City Foundry STL project was recently featured on ByDesign TV, highlighting the creativity, collaboration, and technical problem-solving behind one of St. Louis’s most dynamic adaptive reuse developments. From transforming a historic industrial building into a vibrant mixed-use destination to navigating complex structural challenges, this project is a great example of what’s possible when bold vision meets thoughtful engineering! https://lnkd.in/gRCGEMwW #KPFF #EngineeringExcellence #CityFoundrySTL AIA St. Louis Lawrence Group New + Found

NJDOT’s Office of Maritime Resources recently shared a reel highlighting KPFF's Structural Engineers - Jennie Stabler and Nick Weis, PE, featuring construction progress on the new marine terminal for NJDOT’s Liberty State Park Slip 1 Reconstruction project. This reconstruction of the ferry slip at Liberty State Park represents a state-of-the-art marine terminal designed to enhance access while preserving the historical nature of the site. Once complete, the facility will support tens of thousands of visitors this summer, including those attending the FIFA Fan Festival, while preserving the site’s historical significance and strengthening New Jersey’s waterfront infrastructure: https://lnkd.in/gXeYs3s3 #EngineeringExcellence #KPFF

KPFF’s Orange County Civil Engineering team is excited to see the completion of Pollo Campero’s first location in El Monte, California! Our civil engineering scope of work called for demolition of an existing retail center in order to construct the new restaurant with a drive-through queue, expansion of a surface parking lot, and a new trash enclosure. Since its original location opened in 1971 as a family-owned restaurant in Guatemala, Pollo Campero continues to use the same hand-breaded family recipe for its chicken that has been passed down for generations. With locations in over 20 states, KPFF is proud to provide our engineering services to Pollo Campero as they expand across the United States. #KPFF #CivilEngineering #ConstructionIndustry #Engineering #ElMonte #LosAngelesCounty #EngineeringExcellence

In December we wrapped up our final 2025 Base Camp, and what a year it has been. In 2025 we hosted 10 Base Camps with teammates from 14 KPFF offices, bringing together new hires in small groups to learn who we are, how we work, and what makes KPFF Special. Day 1 introduces our people to KPFF's history, values and firmwide culture. Day 2 is all about their local team, its story, leadership, and how it fits into the bigger picture. The small-group format is intentional. It gives new teammates real time with leaders across KPFF, space to ask questions, and a chance to start building relationships. Welcome to the journey. We're just getting started. #kpff #basecamp #forefronteducation #growwithus

Last month, KPFF’s Orange County Civil Engineering team celebrated the grand opening of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health’s High Desert Health Center, which consists of three single-story structures (Crisis Residential Treatment Program, Crisis Stabilization Unit, and Mental Health Hub). We provided civil engineering services on all three buildings, a new surface parking lot, landscaping, ambulance drop-off, and all new utilities. The Crisis Residential Treatment Program provides short-term care as an alternative to hospitalization with an average length of stay between 14-21 days. The new Crisis Stabilization Unit for children and youth provides a local option for those in need and the expanded Mental Health Hub significantly increases access to outpatient and community-based services. Services provided include peer support, medication management, educational and vocational assistance for foster youth and those in the juvenile justice system. Together, these programs are projected to serve more than 5,500 individuals annually, offering critical support to those in need while reducing reliance on emergency rooms and inpatient treatment. #KPFF #CivilEngineering #Engineering #LosAngelesCounty #ConstructionIndustry #MentalHealth #MentalHealthSupport
