I used to love the quote "Do work you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life." Recently, I've discovered that doing work you love isn't enough. For me, the true version is "Do work you love, with people you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life." Having the Kuli Kuli Foods team all together this past week for our team retreat was unbelievably fun. I've always been a big believer in hiring people who are smarter and better than I am, and I have to say that this team continues to exceed my expectations. What we're trying to do is HARD. It is not easy to source unique, climate-smart superfoods from small farmers, and set the highest bar for equitable partnerships and unbelievable product quality. It is also exciting, but also really friggin hard to grow as fast as we are growing. And it's insane to do all of this with a small team.
