This year, our talented sushi chefs from across the company had the exciting opportunity to unleash their creativity in our Sushi Recipe Contest! Each associate crafted their very own sushi roll — choosing unique flavors, fillings, toppings, sauces, and even naming their creation themselves.
The competition was fierce, and the talent on display was nothing short of inspiring.
This contest was a true celebration of the passion, skill, and innovation that lives in our Meat Department. From daring flavor profiles to flawless execution, our associates continue to raise the bar and redefine what’s possible.
Once all the delicious entries were submitted, associates from every corner of the company cast their votes to help narrow down the field. From there, we celebrated our District Winners, then moved on to crown our Divisional Champions.
The final showdown brought our top 3 chefs together to showcase their incredible recipes one more time and compete for the grand prize: having their roll featured as a new sushi flavor available in all stores for our customers to enjoy!
We’re thrilled to announce that Chris from our Chattanooga Division has been named our Overall Company Winner in this year’s Sushi Recipe Contest with his bold and flavorful Mexican Street Corn Roll! Chris impressed our judges with his creativity, technique, and fearless flavor combinations — and now his winning roll will be featured across all stores in our company!
