L'Alliance New York is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of New York. Its mission is to create and offer New Yorkers innovative and unique programs in education and the arts that explore the evolving diversity and richness of French cultures. L'Alliance New York seeks to generate new ideas and promote cross-cultural dialogue through partnerships and new platforms of expression. Located at 22 East 60th Street between Park and Madison Avenues on New York City’s Upper Eastside, our beautiful Beaux Arts building is reminiscent of the architecture of Haussmann Paris. Over 6000 students learn French at our Language Center, New York's leading center for French language. The Haskell Library is the most comprehensive private French library in the United States. The 400-seat Florence Gould Hall Theater, where we present LIVE performing arts events and New York’s only year-round French cinema series CinéSalon; Tinker Auditorium where we present culinary, literary, and other cultural events; the dramatic penthouse space, Le Skyroom (featuring a demonstration kitchen) where we present exclusive Art de Vivre events; and the recently opened L'Alliance New York Gallery ensure it's place as a vibrant cultural force for New Yorkers of all ages and backgrounds.

On Tuesday, we had the honor of welcoming Benjamin Haddad, Minister Delegate for Europe, for a visit to our building and team. Tatyana Franck, President of L'Alliance New York, shared our mission and values with him during this inspiring exchange.
In January 2025, we launched our NextGen committee, a group of talented individuals growing into the next generation of leaders. We're proud of the wide variety of initiatives they have been working on that will make a difference today… and tomorrow! Last week, we celebrated this journey with an extraordinary team-building event in Central Park. Thank you, and congrats to everyone involved!
Sometimes the smallest ideas make the biggest impact… like our NextGen Committee, launched with 12 talented juniors at L’Alliance New York! ✨ We all know that communication across different departments on multiple floors can be challenging, so this year we decided to take action by creating a space where junior team members could connect, share, and make their voices heard—the NextGen Committee. The NextGen Team's focus areas? Ecology, well-being, event planning… topics as diverse as they are meaningful. Our goal: to give the next generation of leaders a sense of belonging in our shared mission and a real space to create policies that make a difference today… and tomorrow! Yesterday, we celebrated this journey with our very first team-building event—and it was incredible! 🙌 A huge thank you to all current -and past- members of this amazing committee; Abigail Murray, Alexane David, Anne Saboye, Aurélien Bayo, Dylan Barclay, Liam Reimann-Lakota, Louise Bertin, Lunie Jules, Madeline R., Malvina Roche, Mina Hillman (and Elizabeth Castillo!!!). A special shout-out to Mina Hillman, without whom this project would never have taken off.
