Meet this month’s Lennar Legend – Ela Alayon! Ela first joined Lennar in 1980 when the Company was known as F&R Builders. Throughout her 45 years of service, Ela has made her mark on Lennar’s legacy in many ways – starting as a Closing Coordinator to holding various roles with the Accounting and HR teams. Today, Ela is the Office Manager for the Miami corporate office, where she leads Associate activities—such as the Dolphins Cancer Challenge initiative with the Lennar Foundation—and plays a key role in managing office facilities. Initially referred to the Company by a friend, Ela was drawn to Lennar’s potential for growth. During her tenure, she’s watched that growth unfold as the Company grew from a regional operation into the national builder Lennar is today. In her experience, Lennar’s commitment to our Associates has remained a priority since day one and is a big part of what’s driven her tenure. She’s grateful for the leaders and Associates who feel like family and have helped her navigate challenges throughout the years, both in and out of the workplace. Ela describes Lennar as a company rooted in doing the right thing for the right reason. From how Lennar builds homes to how we engage in the community, Ela believes that the leadership team at Lennar has created a culture of giving back – it’s not just something we do, it’s who we are. Her work with the Lennar Foundation and witnessing Associates come together to make a positive impact in our communities has been a significant source of satisfaction in her career. Meet Amanda Wood. Amanda has dedicated her 11-year Lennar career to amplifying Lennar’s brand presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. She joined Lennar in 2014 as a Marketing Coordinator, bringing a passion for homebuilding from her background in purchasing. In 2018, she was promoted to her current role as Director of Marketing, where she works closely with New Home Consultants and Internet Sales Teams to drive marketing strategy and leverage new channels – like streaming commercials – to help DFW homebuyers find their dream homes. Amanda loves the people she works with and values Lennar’s commitment to pushing the envelope. In her experience, every day is different and often presents a chance to use new technology or tactics to deliver results. Amanda’s strategic vision, innovative approach, and love of the industry have made a significant impact on the Division and the Associates she works with.
