Litelab is proud to announce the reopening of the Design Within Reach showroom in Paramus, NJ. The space celebrates a century of human-centric design from MillerKnoll—born from the merger of Herman Miller and Knoll—whose Bauhaus-rooted legacy includes some of the most iconic designers and timeless furniture pieces. Knoll—blends minimalist geometry with refined materials. First used in the Barcelona Pavilion, it merges modern steel with traditional leather, reflecting modernism’s embrace of material innovation and craftsmanship. The result is a balanced synthesis of texture, contrast, and form. Lilly Reich collaborated closely with Mies van der Rohe during the Weimar period, co-creating pieces like the Barcelona and Weissenhof Chairs. Before their partnership, she had already built a celebrated career in furniture and textile design, working with top brands. In 1912, she joined the Werkbund and later served on its Board. Reich was also among the few women to teach at the Bauhaus, alongside figures like Marianne Brandt and Lucia Moholy. At Litelab, we’re proud to light environments that tell stories of design, history, and inclusion, like the Werkbund, the Bauhaus and the many designers represented by MillerKnoll. We celebrate creativity and invention—and visionaries like Reich, Ray Eames, and Florence Knoll and who helped shape modern design. 📷 First Image: A tranquil space featuring the Barcelona Chair, mid-century sofa, and table—illuminated by Litelab lighting. @HermanMiller @DesignWithinReach @MillerKnoll #HermanMiller #DesignWithinReach #MillerKnoll #BarcelonaChair #ModernDesign #Bauhaus #DesignLegacy #MuseumLighting #InclusiveDesign #LillyReich #MiesvanderRohe #GalleryLighting #LightingMatters
