The future of building must be both climate-positive and healthy. We were proud to partner with Healthy Materials Lab at Parsons School of Design, Metropolis Magazine, MASS Design Group, and other leaders for a critical Biobased Construction Roundtable during #NYCClimateWeek. The message was clear: transforming the built environment is a matter of both climate action and social justice. As our CEO, Lindsay Baker, shared: "We cannot live on this planet or find justice for communities without implementing biobased materials." The building industry contributes 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Moving forward requires us to go beyond circularity—it demands a commitment to non-toxic, healthy materials and policy shifts that drive market demand. Read the full recap on how policy, pilot projects, and rethinking materials can move biobased construction from the margins to the mainstream at https://lnkd.in/emEDqVBZ #BiobasedFutures #RegenerativeDesign #HealthyMaterials #EmbodiedCarbon #ClimateAction #LivingFuture
