About LIA: London International Awards (LIA) is a Creative Awards Festival, established in 1986, by Barbara Levy, President. Barbara was the first woman to found and operate an International Awards Show honoring multiple media types. Jury: LIA invites industry leaders and trendsetters on both the creative and client side, assembling the most celebrated people in the industry for 10 days of judging in Las Vegas. To cut through the thousands of entries to get to the metal, you need the best jurors from diverse communities – not just meeting DEI&A standards but having true representation from across the regions, companies, networks, holding companies, independent companies to clients. No two jury members in each panel will be from the same company or network. It’s the world’s best work judged by the world’s best front-line practitioners with total objectivity. Jurors See Every Entry: The LIA judging process requires that jurors are on-site for all rounds of judging statue discussions. All members on our diverse global juries, judge all entries in their respective competitions, with the exception to work that they personally collaborated on or was entered from their company. There are no pre-judging panels to narrow the entries. This practice ensures that all jurors see every piece of work in their respective Categories. Our Jury Rooms are Open: LIA is the only global award show that allows the press, global excellence teams and young creatives full access into the jury rooms for observation during judging, including the statue discussions, allowing for full transparency.

Today I had the great privilege of mentoring a young copywriter from Ukraine, currently living and working in Kyiv. A passionate, driven creative who came prepared, present, and truly intent on making the most of our time together. Midway through our conversation while we were deep in discussion about the craft and skill that goes into making great work he quietly mentioned it had been a rough night. Then, almost as an aside, he shared that air raid alarms were going off as we spoke. And yet, there he was engaged, curious, asking all the right questions. Focused. Grateful. He referred to it, simply, as “the times we live in.” His courage, calm, and commitment to creativity in the face of such unimaginable challenges left me absolutely humbled. An extraordinary reminder of the power of creativity and the resilience of those who refuse to let circumstance dim their light. I won’t forget it.
