  • We’re proud to share an exclusive first look at the Lumens Design Gallery in San Francisco, featured in ELLE Decor.   Our new brick-and-mortar gallery is a space for discovery, dialogue, and design at every scale. From Ghislaine Viñas’ daring debut as our first Designer in Residence to vignettes spotlighting both emerging and iconic makers, the gallery reflects our commitment to bringing inspiration to professionals and the design-obsessed. Special thank you to Ingrid Abramovitch for the feature. https://lnkd.in/g5WaxXyF

Design Project | Project Tourville by Studio Patrick Martins explores a dialogue of materials, light, and texture.   Natural stone surfaces extend across rooms, complemented by warm woods, while mixed-material fixtures introduce contrast. Sculptural furnishings punctuate the space, layered with bespoke details and thoughtfully considered proportions to create interiors that feel deliberate yet lived-in—refined, quietly expressive, and visually compelling.   Photography by Clément Gerard   Featured Brands: VERPANMoooiVitraKnollSkLO, Lee Broom, DCW éditionsGUBI and Tom Dixon #thedesignersource

Design Project | Interior architecture and design studio Atelier Roy-Heckl, named to the 2025 Luxe Gold List, transformed this 1990s Miami home into a refined haven.   "I’m all about mixing shapes and vibes. I love tying together organic shaped pieces with very architectural elements. Or playful pieces with antique objects. Just like the Roll and Hill chandelier perfectly balances the soft edges of the walnut table and the playful chairs. Or the Roly Poly chair, that beautifully contrasts the gilded antique German mirror." - Stephanie Roy-Heckl, Principal Designer and Founder of Atelier Roy-Heckl   Designed for a young family, the vision was to interpret their chic French heritage through the lens of an effortless Miami sensibility. Atelier Roy-Heckl balanced inviting, sophisticated European character with a breezy tropical context by thoughtfully layering color, blending antiques with contemporary pieces, and ensuring nothing felt out of place in the vibrant climate. The result is a richly textured space that celebrates both iconic and emerging design. Interiors by Atelier Roy-Heckl Photography by Jeanne Canto Featured brands: Ladies & Gentlemen Studio for Roll & Hill, GUBI, Faye Toogood, B&B Italia, Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort & Co., Louis Poulsen, Blu Dot, and Buster + Punch.

We’re thrilled to celebrate our partner Amanda Gunawan, Principal Architect and Co-Founder of OWIU Design. Amanda takes a multidisciplinary approach to design blending artisan craft and modern aesthetics. Her latest project, restoring and thoughtfully reimagining a historic 1973 Ray Kappe–designed home, was recently highlighted in Architectural Digest. From her upbringing in Singapore, to her current homebase in Los Angeles, Amanda has always had a worldview of design that melds cultures and draws throughlines that are grounded in wellbeing, intention and honoring craft. Her own ceramics line OWIU Goods (a Lumens exclusive) are all hand thrown in her LA studio and imbue a wabi-sabi modern ethos. No two pieces are alike. The personal nature of each design is an extension of Amanda’s design universe. Stay tuned to learn more about Amanda’s design process, her latest projects, and explore her curated collection of Lumens designs. https://lnkd.in/gqByBg4C

Last Thursday, Lumens and Architectural Digest brought together LA’s design community for an evening that was as moving as it was inspiring. Hosted at the home of Amanda Gunawan, originally designed by Ray Kappe in 1973 and beautifully restored by her firm, OWIU Design — the event was a true celebration of architectural legacy, shared vision, and the camaraderie that defines this creative community.   Many thanks to our host, and West Coast Editor of Architectural Digest, Mayer Rus, and to all who joined us in conversation and connection.

Design Project | Set against the stark beauty of the desert, DAMA Interiors offers a contemporary take on mid-century design. The firm expanded the original 1,400-square-foot, three-bedroom William Krisel A-frame into a 2,000-square-foot, four-bedroom retreat thoughtfully honoring its 1960s origins. Influenced by mid-century Danish design and the Bauhaus movement, the updated home retains its iconic post-and-beam structure while introducing refined materials and clean-lined elements that emphasize simplicity, function, and warmth. "The renovation of an original 1960 Krisel A-frame home was a personal passion project for our interior design firm and my family. Lumens provided a one-stop-shop for inspiration, quality products, and great customer service." - Heather Cohen, Principal Designer and Co-founder DAMA Interiors. Design Project | Designer Annie Nguyen, of Indulge Design Co, created a Malibu shoreline residence that embodies seamless indoor-outdoor living. Limewash walls, sliding doors, and a neutral, organic palette create a natural flow between the refined interiors and the breathtaking coastal landscape. At the heart of the home, a stunning kitchen features curated lighting, exquisite finishes, and a central island designed for gathering, blending elegance with effortless functionality. “This project embodies the essence of coastal luxury—where the boundary between indoors and out dissolves, and every space is designed for relaxation, entertaining, and soaking in the breathtaking ocean views.” – Annie Nguyen, Principal Designer. Designed by Indulge Design Co. Photography by Ethan Jones Feature brands: Blu Dot and Hubbardton Forge
