Wrapping up our M7 Health Nurses Week spotlight with Michelle Saglimbene, DNP, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, whose calm, strategic presence is shaped by years of clinical leadership.
💜 What inspired you to become a nurse? 💜
“I was inspired to become a nurse after working as a student nurse tech at a psychiatric hospital. That experience made me realize I had the potential to do more and I wanted to make a bigger impact. Once I was introduced to the emergency department, I fell in love with the intensity, the teamwork, and the chance to help people in crisis. This drove me to continue my education and dedicate myself to making a difference in the lives of others.”
💜 How has your nursing journey evolved into the work you do at M7? 💜
“After 12+ years at the bedside - I was ready for a new challenge. I joined M7 for the opportunity to travel, see how hospitals operate across the country, and meet nurses and healthcare workers from all kinds of settings. The best part of my job, without question, has been teaching others how to use our platform and seeing the real-time joy on their faces when they realize we’re here to support their work-life balance. That’s something I wish I’d had as a nurse, especially during school and when I became a new mom.”
💜 How has your nursing background shaped the way you approach your work here? 💜
“My background as a nurse has helped me connect quickly with staff and leaders because I understand the demands they face: the stress, the long hours, and their commitment to quality care. I also know how impactful it is to feel truly supported. That’s why I love showing nurse leaders how our platform can create stronger connections with their teams. It opens the door for meaningful conversations and helps them deliver evaluations with a real understanding of their staff’s needs and goals. For hospitals, it’s not just about staffing, it’s about building a culture of support, efficiency, and retention.”
All week long, we’ve shared stories from nurses who now support other nurses behind the scenes. It’s a reminder that the nursing mindset — resourceful, grounded, team-first — doesn’t disappear when someone steps away from the bedside.
We’re grateful for every nurse at M7 and every nurse we get to support. Not just this week, but every week.
