Each company will receive up to $200,000 and join Madica’s 18-month program for mentorship, executive coaching, and immersion experiences in global tech ecosystems. That’s not all. We’re also thrilled to share our new strategic partnership with the African Business Angel Network (ABAN). This collaboration opens up deal flow and co-investment opportunities between Madica and ABAN-affiliated angels across Africa, expanding access to capital and networks for founders everywhere. After an action-packed first day at the #MadicaImmersion, here’s a closer look at what went down inside the #ScaleUp Simulation by Strategy Tools. Designed to mirror the full founder journey from idea to exit, the exercise challenged our founders to think beyond their current stage and plan for the next few funding rounds. Though most are at pre-seed or seed, we had them operating as if they were already scaling. Five cross-company teams were formed to push founders outside their comfort zones. CEOs became team players. CTOs led. Competition sparked instantly, but collaboration quickly took over as founders worked with peers they’d never built with before. We as the Madica team also engaged in the simulation and role-played as different actors - stepped in as evaluators and board members, reviewing artefacts, giving feedback, and stress-testing assumptions live.
