We are honored to introduce Dr. Kiron Nair, Medical Oncologist and Hematologist, to our cancer care team at Mahaska Health. Dr. Nair will lead our multidisciplinary teams and infusion center full-time beginning September 8th 2025. Dr. Nair is board-certified and fellowship-trained in both oncology and hematology, allowing him to diagnose, treat, and manage common cancers as well as blood and lymphatic disorders. He is dedicated to improving access to cancer care in our region and brings over 20 years of experience and leadership to continue the growth of our cancer care program. The Mahaska Health Cancer Center, designated an lowa Center of Excellence, is the only program of its kind in southeast lowa. With the addition of Dr. Nair, Mahaska Health now offers expanded access to multidisciplinary care, coordinated services, and additional support for patients and families throughout their cancer journey, close to home. Whether you need a one-time infusion or ongoing treatment, our new treatment center has been beautifully updated and renovated to provide our patients with a new, comfortable space to receive care, all under one roof. Our team will guide you through each step, so you know what to expect and feel supported from the start. We work closely with your referring provider to coordinate care and answer any questions you may have throughout the treatment process. At Mahaska Health, our patients have access to a wide range of healthcare services such as family medicine, specialty services including cardiology, OB/GYN, ENT, diagnostic testing, and now full-time medical oncology care, close to home. Dr. Nair proudly supports patients by providing excellent care with compassion, open communication, and well-informed decision making.
